The World’s First Love Song About Vintage Modern Design & Designers
Broadway Antique Market (BAM!), Chicago’s largest retailer of vintage furniture and artifacts, just released “I’m All In Love With Vintage”– a music video homage to a dozen Mid Century Modern Designers such as Charles & Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, Russel Wright and Paul McCobb.

Says BAM co-owner and song lyricist Danny Alias: “We wanted to tell the story of today’s young, vintage-buying clients. BAM has been selling Mid Century Modern furnishings and iconic 50’s & 60’s objects 20 years before Mad Men came along. Surprisingly, now we’re selling to the next generation– the children of our customers from the late 1980’s. This is how significant modern design has become. We knew we had to document this unique phenomenon for our 25th year in the antiques business and music seemed to be the key.”
Actor and Cabaret Artist Jordan Phelps brings his knockout, Broadway-bound vocals to perfect this retro flashback. Long time Composer Mark Contorno lent his melodic vintage ear to create the show tune-inspired music.
“I’m All In Love With Vintage” was recorded at Wicker Park’s Mosaic Music by Sound Engineer Rich Rankin and arranged by Megan Carnes. The music video was directed by Danny Alias and filmed at Chicago’s Broadway Antique Market by noted cinematographers Max Anisimov and Katie Moffitt.
The result of this unusual collaboration is a musical first– A Love Song about Mid Century Modern Design and Designers.
Standing in a vast showroom of vintage modern furniture, Jordan Phelps best captures the timelessness of great design, singing– “This is yesterday’s future… today!”
