Virtanza Vocational University, an interactive 10-week sales training and certification program, recently announced the addition of IGS Energy to its constantly growing list of member companies. Graduates of VVU’s programs, which span several proficiency levels, will now be eligible for employment at IGS Energy, one of the largest independent suppliers of natural gas and electricity in the U.S. IGS joins a long list of member companies that hire graduates of the program. “We are excited to connect graduates with this great opportunity,” said Debbie Holzkamp. “IGS Energy is a great company that will open all kinds of new doors for our students.”
Since its inception, Virtanza has certified more than 1,850 graduates of its affordable, high-quality sales training programs. One of the most distinctive things about the Virtanza Vocational University program is that graduates are provided with job placement services upon completion. “It’s our way of showing graduates that in just 10 weeks, they can become more marketable job candidates,” added Holzkamp.
VVU assesses students to determine which sales program is the right fit for them. From there, students enroll for a very modest amount of tuition and then complete a rigorous 10-week program. The program includes online and classroom components. Along the way, students receive crucial sales process training. They can also complete and earn their MS Office certification, which demonstrates to employers that they are proficient with this important software. “Upon completing the 10-week program, our graduates are ready to find employment with first-rate employers like IGS Energy.” said Holkamp.
Virtanza is currently preparing for an upcoming 10-week training program that begins on September 25. Many spots have been filled already, and the few that remain won’t last for long. “The job market has improved considerably, but employers like IGS Energy prefer candidates with marketable sales and computer skills,” said Shannon Schilling, HR Manager for IGS Energy.
