Versa Technology, Inc, (Versa), a US-based provider of last-mile IT networking technology and one of the largest suppliers of Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch technology with an expansive product portfolio supporting a variety of networking environments, announces the completion of the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approval process for its L2+ 8-Port, 10/100/1000X SFP, Managed Switch—the VX-GPU2610-9. UL, a world leader in product safety testing and certification for more than 100 years, evaluates and tests products for safety risks through independent, third-party safety certification.
The addition of UL approval further assures end-users the VX-GPU2610-9 has been tested to nationally recognized safety and sustainability standards and is free from a reasonably foreseeable risk of fire, electric shock in a Division 2 environment. The VX-GPU2610-9 is part of the Versa Technology DMS (Device Management System) Series of switches. DMS offers an intuitive, simple way to work with all IP devices (IoT). The switch comes with embedded software, eliminating the need for licensing costs. No additional hardware or intensive device training is needed for support staff, and the auto-discovery capability displays devices on the floor plan using Google mapping technology,

In addition to meeting the higher demands for safety in 2021, the VX-GPU2610-9 can continuously source 90W of 4‐pair IEEE 802.3bt power from at least eight RJ45 PSE ports simultaneously. That means it supports more high-performing, feature-laden devices in 5G and the IoT ecosystem.
