When the water heater at Felt Family Dentistry broke and flooded the office, prospects looked bleak for the dental clinic in Roy, Utah. The clinic has risen above the challenge, however, keeping operations running while using the unexpected flooding as an opportunity to remodel. After a summer of change, the business is pressing forward with updated new surroundings and an expanded staff to go with it.
Felt Family Dentistry is a leading family dentist in Roy, with a second office in Layton. The staff relies on the latest technology to offer dental services that include dentures, root canals, porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and tooth removal.
The clinic’s client base is growing rapidly, pressing the need for expansion of the clinic’s amenities and staff. The Roy office was only four years old when the flood waters drenched it. In response, the company’s owners, Drs. Jeremy and David Felt, seized the day and launched an extensive remodel.
“We didn’t want to sit around and bemoan our bad fortune, so we used it as an opportunity to make our office even better,” said Dr. Jeremy Felt, co-founder of Felt Family Dentistry. “We are consistently adding more patients to our practice, and these new improvements will help us better serve our patients’ individual needs.”
Felt Family Dentistry has also added new members to their staff to keep up with their growing clientele, including dental assistant Sally Heslop, dental hygienist Alex Hadley, and customer service specialist Kelsey Martin.
The office only closed for three days, even amidst the remodeling work. Neighboring offices shared their space so the clinic could continue to see dental patients without interruption.
“Thanks to our resilient staff and our very patient customers, we were able to pull this off smoothly,” said Dr. Jeremy Felt. “It was an adventure, and now we are very excited to get back to business in better form than ever.”
