As the world steps into another year of a global pandemic, a new focus has been placed on lifestyle changes and exercise to curb the impacts of COVID-19 and various other illnesses and ailments. However, not everyone has access to the equipment required to practice low-impact exercises that work the heart without wearing down the body. Total Body Experts, the industry-leading provider of commercial-grade fitness equipment is thrilled to announce that they have helped the Clayton Community Church fulfill their dream of building a Senior Cycle Bar to give back to the elderly in the community.
Total Body Experts donated over $72,000 worth of commercial-grade cycling equipment, including 6 recumbent bikes and 16 upright bikes to offer a multi-pronged approach to physical fitness and heart health for the seniors of Clayton. This State of the art Senior Cycling Bar envisioned by Clayton Community Church will be open to seniors in the community once construction is complete.
Falling perfectly in line with the mission of Total Body Experts, this unique donation is helping seniors live out their fitness truths and live more bountiful lives by meeting them where they are and equipping them with the tools they need to get to the fitness and health level they desire. Standing firm in the belief that movement is medicine, Total Body Experts is honored to play a small role in reducing the impact of illness and ailments like COVID-19 for seniors in California and beyond.
When asked what motivated him to make this donation, Total Body Experts CEO, Marc Erickson commented “We had heard all the good work the pastor has done for his community and we wanted to be a part of it. We knew the Clayton community has a lot of senior citizens who could use the rehabilitation equipment to live a healthier lifestyle.”
