The Women’s Business Center of Utah (WBCUtah) is giving away five (5) $1,000 grants to small, Utah-owned businesses that are owned and operated by women and those who identify as women. From Monday, January 31 to Monday, February 28th, business owners can enter for a chance to win money to invest in and grow their businesses.
The grant money is generously provided by the Nasdaq Foundation to the Women’s Business Center of Utah. WBCUtah is paying it forward to the communities of small businesses in Utah with these five grants, which will empower women business owners with money to invest in their businesses where it will be most effective.
“A little bit of money can go a long way for small business owners,” said Ann Marie Wallace, State Director, Women’s Business Center of Utah. “WBCUtah is passionate about removing barriers for women business owners in Utah, and getting money to them is one of the best ways we can do that.”
As part of entering the giveaway, women-owned businesses will add their names to the Utah Women-Owned Business Directory, a list of businesses owned and operated by women and those who identify as women. in Utah. With a goal to grow the directory to 5,000 businesses over the course of the giveaway, WBCUtah hopes to create a more comprehensive list of women-owned businesses in Utah and a better resource for the community looking to shop women-owned.
WBCUtah will choose five winners–one from Northern Utah, Southern Utah, Eastern Utah, and the Wasatch Front, and a randomly selected statewide winner. Each winner will receive a check for $1000 as well as the chance to appear in a livestream to talk about their business with WBCUtah.

Requirements for entry:
- Entrants must own and operate a business as of January 31, 2022.
- Entrants must be a woman and those who identify as women.
- Entrants must be listed on the Utah Women-Owned Business Directory as of February 28, 2022.
- Entrants must consent to be added to the Women’s Business Center of Utah’s email list.
Additional giveaway entries are available, but not mandatory. Entrants can gain bonus entries in addition to their primary entry by liking the WBCUtah Facebook page and commenting on and sharing the giveaway.
Grant winners will be contacted via email and given ten days to claim their prize. All winners will be announced on March 4, 2022.
