The award-winning Spa at The Elms Hotel, a 25,000 foot facility that’s one of the largest in the Midwest, has added two exclusive service offerings for its guests, business meeting clients, and celebration event clients. The new spa treatments, which are the first and only ones of their kind in the Kansas City region, are an Essentials Massage and a Waterfall Hot Stone Massage.
“We’re thrilled to be the first spa in the Kansas City area to offer these luxurious treatments,” says Marissa Krems, Spa Director of The Elms Hotel and Spa. “Along with being indulgent for our guests, they’re extremely popular with stressed out brides who are celebrating their weddings with us and need to unwind, and also with our business meeting clients who want to escape and rejuvenate.”
Details about the Elms Hotel’s’ new spa treatments are as follows:
Essentials Massage (50 minutes)
- A light to medium rhythmic massage that’s performed with four single essential oils and four blended essential oils.
- The aromatic oils – which help to reduce toxins and inflammation – help to balance the body, mind and spirit.
- Benefits include relaxation and alleviation of emotional stress.
Waterfall Hot Stone Massage (75 minutes)
- Combines two treatments: a Vichy shower massage (a series of shower nozzles sprays warm water over the client while he/she lies in a shallow wet bed) and a hot stone massage (smooth basalt stones are applied to the body, which expands blood vessels and encourages blood flow).
- Benefits include relief of chronic pain, reduction of stress, and deep relaxation.

Both are wonderful additions to our extensive menu of superb spa treatments.”
