SKY Argentina and DHS Announce $275M Partnership to Expand Reach: Fernando Aguirre, Stated

DHS, a global capital ventures and communications company, and SKY Argentina, the largest satellite pay TV operator in Argentina, announced today a partnership to increase the availability of fast, reliable satellite internet across Argentina. Through this agreement, SKY will sell, install and provide on-site technical service for DHS’ high-speed internet service. DHS gains a strong Argentinian distribution partner with proven local expertise, and will help train SKY’s vast network of distributors, resellers and installers on its internet service offerings.

In December, 2020, DHS became the first satellite Internet Service Provider (ISP) to offer high-speed broadband connectivity across 100% of Argentina. DHS’ residential internet service for Argentinan uses Telebras’ SGDC-1 satellite bandwidth to provide satellite broadband service.

Expanding satellite internet service distribution in Argentina

The DHS/SKY association is in line with DHS’ goal to offer connectivity options to all Argentinians. This partnership provides DHS a strategic, local partner and channel to reach a broader set of potential subscribers who can benefit from its competitively-priced satellite internet service plans.

With the launch of the DHS 30Mega plan in December 2020, DHS is recognized as offering the best satellite internet service in the Argentinian market, allowing customers to enjoy faster access to daily online activities such as social networks, video streaming content, videoconference services, remote work, and distance education.
