Skin Grip, manufacturer of adhesive patches for diabetic sensors, has partnered with Ariana Frayer, the artist behind the Cup of Oj lifestyle brand dedicated to helping people live better with diabetes. The partnership has produced a new line of colorful patches designed to keep CGM (continuous glucose monitor) devices attached securely to the skin.
Skin Grip’s President, Isaac Parkinson, stated, “We have always asked our customers for feedback, and a few months back, Ariana mentioned we should do pastel colors. We thought it was a great idea and decided to partner with her to design them for us. We couldn’t have picked a better individual to partner with. The patches look amazing.”
Skin Grip reached out to Ariana Frayer in an attempt to continue their partnerships with influencers in the diabetic community. Ariana Frayer is a regular user of Skin Grip’s adhesive patches to keep her Dexcom G6 CGM device anchored to her skin. Her background as a professional artist and designer made her a natural fit for designing a new collection of patches.
In a recent blog post, Frayer said, “I started wearing my Dexcom after I graduated from college and never felt like patches with snowflakes or basketballs were patterns that resonated with me. I’ve always enjoyed Skin Grip’s patches because not only do they have the best adhesive, I love their neutral-toned and clear tape.”
The new patches feature five pastel colors in shades of lavender, pink, yellow, green, and blue. They mirror the color palette for Frayer’s popular Cup of Oj website. The new colors are available for all patch types, including Frayer’s own Dexcom, as well as the Omnipod, Abbott Medtronic, T:slim, Eversense, and Freestyle Libre patches. Like all Skin Grip products, they remain hypoallergenic, latex free, and 100% medical grade.
