Six Black Women Children’s Authors Unite For Her Story: The Children’s Book Tour

Virtual book tour featuring works of successful black women authors in honor of Black History Month

In celebration of Black History Month, six successful black women authors have banded together to create a virtual book tour featuring their children’s books.
Authors Amanda Lynch (‘My Ancestors’ Wildest Dreams’), Lora McClain-Muhammad (‘I Need You to Know Coloring Books: The ABCs of Black Girl Magic’ and ‘The ABCs of a Young King’s Greatness’), Courtney B. Dunlap (‘The Rumble Hunters’), Sharifa Anozie (‘It’s In You’ and ‘Sibling Love’), Sheryl Smiley-Oliphant (‘My Daddy Doesn’t Need a Cape’ and ‘New Baby Coming, New Baby Here’), and Virtuous Nyamesem Cornwall (‘Animalsville: Finding Little Doggins’ and ‘Virus Busters’) have sold more than 40,000 books combined.
Now, they are uniting for (Her) Story: The Children’s Book Tour, a virtual tour featuring these accomplished authors reading their own books and engaging children in interactive arts, craft activities, and mindful exercises. The tour will take place throughout the month of February.
(Her) Story: The Children’s Book Tour authors’ books can be found in independent bookstores worldwide, their personal websites, as well as online retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and Target.
