We have the top three Caribbean restaurants and the glowing recommendations that our curators wrote about their favorite spots, along with a few suggestions for what to order when you go!

Rec #1- Kokomo

Recommended by: @thesocialny

Ambiance: Casual, Great Service, Hip, Great Drinks, Indoor, Outdoor

Curator @thesocialny describes Kokomo as having “tropical vibes and unexpected flavors” and says, “Kokomo is one of the best places to dine for real Caribbean food. The menu features unique flatbreads, seafood and meats. Try the oxtail and the ackee flatbread.”

Rec #2- Footprints Cafe

Recommended by: @twiggyversatile

Ambiance: Great Food, 20s Crowd, 30s Crowd, Strong Drinks

Curator @twiggyversatile says, “This place is always so busy and is known for being the home of the rasta pasta. If you don’t know what rasta pasta is, then you’re truly missing out and need to go to this place immediately. They have an array of different options, and my personal favorite is the steak and shrimp, though everything is delicious. The wait can take awhile, but by the time you get your meal, you’re not even concerned with how long it took. The drinks are also incredible. They make the best sorrel!”

Rec #3- The Soul Spot

Recommended by: @lizgrossmank

Ambiance: No Frills

Curator @lizgrossmank says, “Amazing food! They catered my wedding! Owned by a Gambian, the food is traditional African mixed with soulfood and Italian dishes. Takeout is the best way.”
