You may have noticed that there are no longer any festivals going on in Cornwall, music or otherwise, but we’ve now entered a different season altogether, and one that is just as good for Cornwall holidays as the festival-packed summer.

All over Cornwall, from now until the big day itself, towns and villages will be holding ceremonies to switch on their Christmas lights, and there are some truly spectacular visuals on display. Why not head to Mousehole to see the famous lights covering the waterfront? Or the floating displays of lights out on the water which are set up at Padstow?

The ceremonies are different everywhere you go too, from lantern processions and traditional carolling to full evenings of street entertainment with live bands and food and drink. There’s something to suit everybody’s tastes and get you in the right mood for the festive season.
