The ‘Care Certificate’ is the social care sectors entry training requirement. To make it easy for new starters, as well as those returning after an absence SecuriCare offer all of the 15 courses in both online and workbook versions.
SecuriCare have been delivering ‘Preventing and Managing Challenging Behaviour’ training into the social care sector for 20 years. In response to client demand they have now expanded their portfolio to include the ‘Care Certificate’. As ever the guiding principles they have worked to are flexibility, quality and cost effectiveness. This makes their offering the perfect programme for those looking to get trained and be ready to enter the workplace.
Good induction training is absolutely vital. When the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspects a service and makes a determination as to whether it is safe, effective, caring, responsive to people’s needs and well-led, one key area they consider is the competence of staff. The ‘Care Certificate’ standards represent the benchmark against which proficiency is assessed. Now Securicare offer both the knowledge training for staff and workplace assessment tools for employers.
SecuriCares training can be delivered in a number of ways according to the needs of the particular service. Their Online Training Academy’s delivery system provides learners with the simplest, most flexible and cost effective induction training solution in the form of fifteen standalone courses (along with online assessments and certificates) as well as downloadable workplace assessment sheets that will be completed by the workplace assessor and entered into the individualised portfolio. These will provide for each learner’s evidence and certification. Alternatively workbooks are also available.
SecuriCares’ ‘Care Certificate’ has been written by a development team comprising PhD and Masters’ Graduate Nurses with a combined 50 years of practice in Health and Social Care. Chris Knight, SecuriCares Head of Social Care Training said, “We offer a flexible induction programme that can be configured to the service to ensure you meet all of your mandatory training requirements. The beauty is that we can deliver the training staff need as well as readying the nominated assessors to complete the requisite workplace assessments which shore up the induction training programme.”
Ever keen to ensure cost effectiveness SecuriCares programme also offers additional value in the following ways:
-
Theory courses for Moving & Positioning and Medication Awareness and Administration Level 2 are provided as bonus courses, making a total of 17 certificated courses
-
Each individual course content is fully mapped across to meet the underpinning knowledge requirements for the QCF Diplomas in Health and Social Care at Levels 2 and 3. Completion of all of the courses allows the candidate to meet the knowledge specifications of all of the mandatory units of these QCF Diplomas.
Chris continues, “What we offer is the ultimate social care induction programme; a full selection of courses in a choice of formats which provide a very accessible and hugely informative introduction to the job of the support worker. It a programme that meets the CQC spec and which also assists candidates in achieving their QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. In short we provide a one stop shop for fully certificated health and social care induction training.”
