Ryan Rose will be hosting the third annual Ryan Rose Mustang Taming Course from August 17, 2020 through September 4, 2020 at Horse First Farm in Brooklyn, Wisconsin.
In years past, this course has drawn national and international attention, and it is expected to attract the same audience in 2020. This event will surely sell out.
“For the true horse lover, this is the experience of a lifetime,” Ryan explains. “There is nothing that compares to gentling a wild horse. The participants in this course – with my help – will have the unique opportunity to help these BLM mustangs have a future in our world that could otherwise end in slaughter or living out their days in a holding pen.”
These once wild horses have been taken into captivity by the Bureau of Land Management, which then works to place them into private care through its adoption and sales program. Unfortunately, only a fraction of them will ever find suitable homes.
“A horse that is approachable and willing to accept human presence is significantly more likely to be adopted,” states Rose. “By teaching others to work with Mustangs, we aren’t just helping the handful of horses that are chosen for this course. We’re giving the participants the tools to go and make a larger impact after the course is finished.”
The course is three weeks long and includes all tuition, facility costs, and necessary supplies. Personal meals and lodging are not included, but participants will be assisted in finding suitable accommodations. In order to be considered, candidates must submit a 3 to 5-minute video of themselves doing groundwork with a horse.
Auditors are welcome at this event, and sponsorship opportunities are available to approved businesses.
