Denver, Colorado lumber supplier expands C-level executive leadership to include new Chief Growth and Chief Financial Officers in response to rapid revenue increases over the past four years to support growth initiatives planned for the future.

Denver, CO (PRUnderground) November 4th, 2021

Rocky Mountain Forest Products has realized remarkable growth despite lumber shortages that have plagued lumberyards across the country in the past year. Already Colorado’s largest cedar wood supplier, the company has increased its revenue from $14M in 2017 to $42M without any acquisition or expansion. With profits on the rise, RMFP is perfectly poised to achieve its goals to open new lumberyards, acquire other companies, and create new sub-brands to revolutionize the lumber industry. Augmenting their C-suite with new leadership, including Taylor Poole, Chief Growth Officer, and Kevin McKnight in the role of Chief Financial Officer, is the first step in implementing these initiatives.

RMFP opened its doors in 1974 to provide customers and contractors a source for the best quality lumber straight from the mill. Removing the middleman allowed them to provide better prices on fencing, siding, and decking materials. This business model proved widely successful and allowed the company to rise to become one of the top 100 lumberyards in the country in 2021, according to LBM Journal.

“Since its inception, Rocky Mountain Forest Products has had immense potential to be a top lumber supplier,” said Taylor Poole, Chief Growth Officer. “Over the past four years, we have made some operational changes and marketing changes that have launched us ahead of the competition and closer to our goal of being the lumber company that customers look to nationwide for the best product at the lowest price.”

In his previous role as RMFP’s Marketing Director, Poole played an integral part in helping build the company over the past four years. A website redesign, expansion of digital marketing strategies, and extensive social media campaigns helped bring the company into the 21st century and drive online customer acquisition. As the CGO, he will have a significant impact on the direction the company takes in the future.

New to the RMFP team, Kevin McKnight is a skilled financial executive with over 35 years of experience leading companies. His experience helping other companies navigate buyouts and acquisitions will complement current company skillsets. His expertise will prove invaluable as RMFP embarks on its new direction to expand and reach customers nationwide with its unique philosophy, business practices, and superior products.

RMFP currently operates three lumberyards in Denver, Arvada, and Colorado Springs. They supply over 2500 contractors and thousands of Denver area DIYers with top-notch lumber for their building projects, including specialty wood and composite products.
