Vet the candidates as the Republican Party of Brevard hosts the 2012 Bi-Annual Picnic at the Wickham Event Pavilion.

The 2012 Bi-Annual Brevard Republican Picnic will be Saturday, July 14th, from noon-4pm at the Wickham Event Pavilion at Brevard Community College. The 2012 Picnic will allow voters to engage with candidates at the local, state and federal level, as well as members of local Republican clubs. A straw poll will be conducted by the Brevard Supervisor of Elections. Food and drinks will be provided at no charge. Admission is free to the public; details are available at https://www.brecpicnic.com.
The event is hosted by the Brevard Republican Executive Committee (BREC) and organized by the Brevard Republican Council of Clubs (BRCC). Local Conservative Talk Radio Station WMMB AM is sponsoring the event.
“Brevard is a Republican county, and the fact is most of our races are decided in the primaries, not the general election,” 2012 Picnic Chair Matt Nye stated. “This event gives voters the opportunity to meet and interact with the Republican candidates at every level in a casual, fun and relaxed environment.”
The event will feature guest speakers, entertainment and dozens of exhibitors. Food and drink will be provided free of charge, and admission is free to the public.
“This is one of the most important election cycles in the history of our country,” Nye said. “Our goal is to turn out as many Republican voters as possible to ensure they are as well informed as possible before the primaries.”

The Republican Party Picnic is a bi-annual event that occurs in even numbered years. The picnic is open and free to the public and allows voters to engage with Republican candidates running for office.
With the removal of President Obama the top priority for the Republican Party, and several contentious local races in play, this year’s picnic promises to be one of the largest ever.
The picnic is hosted by the Brevard Republican Executive Committee and coordinated by the Brevard Republican Council of Clubs.
