The book fair is taking place as part of the council’s annual meeting, which is scheduled for Nov. 19 to 22. Attendees from across the globe were expected to participate in 900 keynotes, workshops, and presentations. The annual meeting was initially slated to be held at Denver’s Colorado Convention Center, but it moved online given that the state ordered for the convention center to remain a temporary hospital for treating coronavirus patients in 2020.

ReadersMagnet is one of the exhibitors at this year’s NCTE virtual book year, which is uniting thousands of prekindergarten to college educators in the literacy field. The company said it is excited to be a part of NCTE’s efforts to lead and influence writing and reading instruction in various content areas.

Attendees of the annual meeting this year can take advantage of 400-plus sessions, which include 250-plus on-demand sessions, 56 prerecorded ones featuring live question-and-answer periods, and 76 live sessions. In addition, they can continue to access the programming as well as the exhibit booths for a total of 60 days following the convention.

The NCTE remains an essential resource since being founded in 1911. Its yearly convention has managed to bring together publishes, authors, researchers, and educators for professional networking and learning over the years. All in all, it is excited to unite students, teachers, regions, ethnicities, cultures, philosophies, genres, and ideas through this year’s online meeting/ book fair.

The NCTE’s affiliate partners and groups include the National Writing Project, the Conference on English Leadership, and the Assembly on Literature for Adolescents of NCTE. These entities played key roles in this year’s event and are expected to continue to help the NCTE to uphold its mission of improving the learning and teaching of English.
