RadScholars Announces Global Researchathon in Collaboration with the United Nations

Industry: Healthcare

Halifax, Nova Scotia (PRUnderground) May 24th, 2021

RadScholars is announcing Researchathon from July 2-4, 2021, an event dedicated to fostering collaboration between associations, conducting research on new coronavirus datasets, and empowering students around the globe. Researchathon will be comprised of two main components: a social with invited keynote speakers and an event for participants to work on their projects.

Founder & CEO Mohamed Nashnoush says, “We are looking to engage a diverse community of students, inquirers, and researchers in this field.”

Nashnoush launched RadScholars to shed light on a field that’s too often dismissed. “We have reached more than 512,000 students and healthcare practitioners from 34 different nations,” he says, “in addition to generating more than $70,000 in funding.”

The organization’s leadership team is comprised of 32 active members who manage, facilitate, and coordinate didactic events to ensure research teams are supported in their scholarly endeavours.

RadScholars has partnered with leading organizations such as Harvard Medical School, the International Myeloma Foundation, and the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists to host conferences, webinars, and support student-led research opportunities. Currently, research groups are working on various projects such as meta-analyses, systematic reviews, literature reviews, cohort studies, and longitudinal studies.

RadScholars’ principles and values are founded on academic honesty and research ethics. The organization is open to accepting new research assistants who will review databases and work with advisors and healthcare professionals to complete research projects culminating in scholarly publications. They are also inviting new research advisors to guide and advise budding student researchers.
