Rachel McCord Does Intimate Interview at The Kinney Venice Beach Before Eye-Opening Photoshoot

Celebrity influencer and model Rachel McCord has been opening doors and paving new ways for women in business, with her ever more popular The McCord List (www.themccordlist.com). In exciting news, she recently took the time to do an interview covering all aspects of her life and current work at The Kinney Venice Beach before taking part with close friends and fellow McCord List talent in an intimate photoshoot on the more-than glamorous Lone Ranger 2.

“KVB: V. You co-founded The McCord List, a network of influential talent in Hollywood. You seem to have always had a passion for empowering women. Where do you think that comes from?

RM: I think there comes a time in every person’s life when they need a little extra support. I’ve been through a lot in my life, and now want to do everything in my power to help those who need more encouragement.

KVB: What is the one thing you want your fans to know about you?

RM: I want them to know that I genuinely care about THEIR journey. I’ve had to design and fight… hard for mine… so if there is ever anything I can do to make theirs a little easier… I will!

KVB: Tell us more about The McCord List Monthly Influencer & Celeb Photoshoots and wellness/empowerment events.

RM: Every month, I bring the ladies in my community together for an empowering day of acceptance, positive talks, hair, makeup, and photoshoots. The goal is to create a nonjudgmental space to connect and build healthy relationships in the entertainment industry. I am incredibly blessed to have epic brands sponsor, like BeatBox Beverages and Lovery Gifts. This month we are also featuring Olori, whose stunning handbags are sold to provide education to the young women in Africa.

KVB: That’s incredible! Speaking of brands, what is your morning beauty and hair ritual before each photoshoot?

RM: I need great music, a cozy robe, and clean face. I start with a bath, using one of my favorite brands, Copper + Crane. Their products are so good and literally make my bathroom smell like a garden.

Then, if I’m doing my own glam, I blow-dry my hair and put it in three, stacked sections. I take the first section, on the top of my head, and twirl it around into a knot and pin it with bobby pins. I repeat this down the center of my scalp, until I have three knots. This makes it look like I just got a fresh blowout. I spray hairspray and then move to my face, which I ALWAYS start with Skindinavia’s shine-free spray, that sets and holds makeup for over 16 hours.

V. We love that! Now tell us about your photoshoot today.

RM. I am shooting Aurora San’s customizable swimwear with photographers Doug Kent, Vincent Luu, Jonathan Lennard, Will O, and Michael Sasser. We pulled some beautiful fashion pieces and gowns from Ivan Bitton Showroom and Mott & Prince. We also have Domenica Matute doing hair and makeup.
