Personal financial strategist Ray Williams is releasing his new book, “U’s Rules For Financial Success: How To Unlink The Poverty Chain.” The Kindle edition is already an Amazon best-seller, having gained rapid popularity.
Williams says he wrote “U’s Rules,” to provide inspiration and education for underserved consumers, particularly, African-Americans. The book is for U’s, the: Underserved, Undereducated (financially), Undercapitalized, Underfinanced, and Underbanked.
“U’s Rules” is aimed at people who want to elevate from a state of perpetual poverty and create current and future wealth, regardless of their education, credit, or income levels. Readers will learn how to enhance their financial situations by applying the 30 simple rules in the book.
“Now more than ever, African-Americans cannot continue to ignore their personal finances, income, credit, debts, insurance, and assets,” Williams says, “The average African-American family’s net worth is only $17,150, compared to the net worth of a typical white family in this country – $171,000, ten times greater.”
The book sets the stage for underserved consumers to challenge themselves and stop accepting that they are destined to struggle financially all their life. It seeks to enhance understanding that financial knowledge is the key to a better life for them and their families today, as well as for generations in the future.
Williams says it’s critically important to develop financial literacy, in order to be able to rely on one’s own judgement in making financial decisions. He also says having financial literacy provides protection against misinformation, because people will then have the ability to validate what they’re being told, based on their own knowledge.
“The biggest mistake I see is people not getting a second – even a third – opinion,” Williams says, “That’s why people end up filing for bankruptcy when they really don’t need to, but the only expert they sought out was a bankruptcy attorney.”
Williams has operated Greenway Capital Management, a consulting firm specializing in personal financial counseling, since 2005. He has practiced personal finance for more than 25 years. Williams has written articles for publication, hosted a radio show, conducted financial workshops, and is the Founder of U’s Can Too Wealth Builder Network, a membership-based organization that provides unlimited financial counseling to its members..
Readers of “U’s Rules” can sign-up for a free financial consultation and evaluation that will help them understand their current financial status.
