ParkMyCloud, the only lightweight app that lets Amazon Web Services (AWS) users schedule on/off times for their idle, non-production cloud computing services, today announced announced that it has been selected to present at the company showcase of The 2015 Big Idea CONNECTpreneur Winter Forum.

ParkMyCloud was founded on the premise that the cloud should be a true utility like power, water or gas. Imagine how much money you’d waste if you left all of the lights and appliances on when you’re not home. Hundreds of thousands of cloud users are in the exact same situation—wasting hundreds of millions of dollars paying for idle cloud computing services.

“Since we launched ParkMyCloud in September, we have been gratified by the support and interest from AWS users around the world.” said Jay Chapel, founder and CEO. “We’re pleased that CONNECTpreneur picked ParkMyCloud to show how we can help companies send hundreds of millions of dollars in reduced cloud computing costs straight to their bottom line.”

The Big Idea CONNECTpreneur Forum is a community of over 3500 business leaders, CEOs, entrepreneurs, VCs and angels in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Each quarterly CONNECTpreneur Forum mashes up 350+ top founders, angels, CXOs, VCs, and business leaders for a morning breakfast event featuring awesome networking, newsmaking speakers, and a showcase of 6-7 exciting companies.
