Onward and Upward: Thoroughbred Advisors’ Announces $10,000 Donation to Berkshire Farm and Recent Expansion

Servant leadership is essential to the core values of any successful company, and Thoroughbred Advisors is no exception. Those who take the knowledge and blessings that have been granted and share them with charitable organizations have set an expectation for yet another foundational practice in serving the communities in which they work. Most recently, Conor Boyd, founder of Thoroughbred Advisors was nominated and awarded the Do Good Award by National Life Group for this outstanding display of leadership.

In addition to the recognition at a National Life Group Conference, Conor received a check for $7,500.00 made out to the charity of his choice. Conor selected Berkshire Farm, the rural residential facility that provides services to support youth and families across New York State, where he has served as a board member at Berkshire Farms for the past 8 years. In addition to delivering the $7,500.00 check, he added $2,500.00 to round it up to an even $10,000.

After years of service, Conor has provided helping shepherd this 136-year-old charitable organization, contributing to the well-being of the youth and foster children that Berkshire Farms serves has been one of the greatest gifts he could have asked for. A joyous occasion in more ways than one, Thoroughbred Advisors is proud to announce the opening of its new office in Latham, New York.

What started as a humble operation in the Galleria 7 complex has grown into a standalone building at 421 Troy-Schenectady Rd. in Latham NY. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Conor Boyd and his team were able to purchase their new building in November 2020 and move in this past September.

Driven to support local businesses, Thoroughbred Advisors partnered with C2 Design Group and Greco Construction to bring the vision for a post-pandemic financial firm to life, creating a spacious and welcoming environment for advisors and clients. They will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new office with local leaders present on November 29th at 3:45 pm.

While this location served them well in the early days, it quickly became apparent that they would need more space to accommodate their growing team. This new location offers ample space for the company’s continued growth, as well as a variety of amenities that weren’t possible in their previous location.

Through proof of concept, dedication to innovation, and unwavering commitment to community, Conor Boyd’s purpose-driven vision has come to fruition as Thoroughbred Advisors embarks on a new journey at 421 Troy-Schenectady Rd. in Latham NY.
