Oakland University, a leading public doctoral research institution located in Rochester, Michigan, announces its official online bookstore partnership with eCampus.com, a premier EdTech company. This strategic collaboration aims to enhance Oakland University students’ online shopping experience through eCampus.com’s expertise and dedication to affordable and accessible course materials.

As part of this partnership, Oakland University’s student body of over 16,000 will have the opportunity to access eCampus.com’s specially tailored Oakland University branded online storefront, which will be uniquely customized to the needs of the modern-day student. Through the eCampus.com online storefront, students will have exclusive offers and access to a wide variety of textbook selections, course materials, and digital resources, along with a seamless platform to search for and order their required course materials. The Single Sign On (SSO) integration allows students to access the online bookstore effortlessly using their university login information, simplifying the shopping experience. This ensures that students can conveniently access their course materials and focus on their academic pursuits.

eCampus.com prioritizes affordability and accessibility, and with this in mind, will offer Oakland University students access to new, used, rental, and digital course materials, as well as access to an online Marketplace, where students can purchase textbooks at additional discounts from third-party sellers. Students can expect to save money with eCampus.com through various shipping options, such as free shipping to campus where students can pick up their course materials from a convenient on-campus location.

Professors will also receive great benefits from this partnership. eCampus.com’s advanced course material research functionality empowers professors to make informed decisions when selecting course materials. With real-time pricing and availability information, faculty can review student purchasing habits and explore different course material options to make decisions with their students in mind, thereby enhancing the learning experience and success in the classroom.

“At eCampus.com, we are thrilled to join forces with Oakland University in our shared mission of fostering student success through accessible and affordable education,” said Matt Montgomery, President and CEO of eCampus.com. “By leveraging our extensive catalog of cost-effective course materials and focus on student achievement, this partnership demonstrates our mutual dedication to expanding learning opportunities and empowering Oakland University students to excel in their academic endeavors.”

“We look forward to this new partnership with eCampus.com that puts a modern spin on the traditional textbook market, with a focus on providing more affordable course materials for OU students,” said Chris Reed, director of the Oakland Center at Oakland University. “eCampus.com will provide the course materials for our students through their easy-to-use online store and will offer textbook pick up, returns, and buybacks through their strategic partner who will operate our new campus store opening in Summer 2023. Students will be able to purchase course materials with the assistance of the campus store and have those materials delivered directly to the store or the destination of their choosing.”
