NYC Opera Tours Launches New Website
NYC Opera Tours caters to opera lovers everywhere – in the United States, Europe and all other parts of the world. Our audience is people who have dreamed of coming to New York and attending an opera at the famed Metropolitan Opera, the world’s most prestigious opera house.
NYC Opera Tours is run by Steve Kutay, an opera lover who has been attending Met performances since he was a youngster in the 1950’s. He was at the Metropolitan Opera debuts of Maria Callas and Joan Southerland and loves to talk about the performances and the singers he has heard through the years.
Our plan is easy to understand. First YOU decide when you want to come to New York for three nights of opera-going. Then you check out the operas described in our extensive, week-by-week schedule (located under our “Tour Packages” heading). The schedule covers every week of the Met season, from September through May.
The day comes when you fly to New York City and we have someone pick you up at one of the three airports in the area – LaGuardia, JFK or Newark. You will be taken by private car to
a beautiful premium boutique hotel, the Empire, directly across the street from Lincoln Center, where you will spend the next four nights. You will have a superior room and we will do our best to get you a room with a great view of New York City from your window.
You will walk across the street from your hotel and pick up your three sets of prime-orchestra- seat tickets as well as your tickets for the back-stage tour from the Met box office at any time before the first performance you plan to attend. Then for the next three nights, your dream of attending an opera at the Met will become a reality.
During the time you are in New York, we will take you on a backstage tour of the opera house and suggest activities you might enjoy during your daytime hours. You might even take in a Broadway matinee.
The advantages of our arrangements are obvious: You are not dependent upon anyone else’s schedule; you are given first-class treatment from start to finish; everything to do with your opera tour is taken care of. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the ride! What could be simpler?
