Hakuna Wear was started in Encinitas, CA after an unempowering tropical surf trip filled with wardrobe malfunctions and no pockets for a hotel key or cash to get around. Our founder, Jessica Boynton, took her love of surfing, her PhD in chemistry, and her passion for fashion to develop innovative swimwear with no worries. Our suits have pockets to stash your essentials, are surf-tested in overhead surf to stay put, and are made with recycled and plant-based fabrics. All designed in the heart of San Diego, California, USA.
