Autism Educator for First Responders was founded by Dr. Sharlene T Smith, an Autism Mom with a Ph.D. and over 20 years’ experience as an educator who became a Certified change agent devoted to Educating First Responders around the world about Autism & advocating for non-violent Crisis Intervention Technique; while promoting Autism Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
Autism Educator for First Responders was created to enhance First Responders existing training by providing education, training, professional development (PD), continuing education (CEU) and coaching to individuals, families, veterans, organizations with First Responders and para-professionals around the world. And bridge the education & training gaps between practical training & life-saving practice when in a crisis situation with individuals with autism, intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDD) and other impairments.
