The Green Life Campaign, a recently launched social construction campaign designed to provide veterans, as well as homeless men and women, with accessible housing, this week launched a crowdfunding campaign to muster up the necessary financial supporting for starting the first project home.
On a mission to create modular housing at 500-800-square-feet in size that can help some of the 41,000 homeless veterans in the U.S. at any given time, the Green Life Campaign is making it possible with tiny, energy efficient structures.
“We believe we can help those in need while working in conjunction with the environment,” said Dillon. “Using energy efficient building methods through the Construction Agency, as well as roof solar panels and produce communal gardens included inside the gated communities, we are hoping to help thousands of homeless vets every single year.”
The Green Life Campaign will be more than homes – it will include a gated community that shows homeless how to develop skills and move on after 6-months to one-year. The team at the Construction Agency will meet with the homeless, screen them, help them to develop their plan of action, and protect them with 24-hour security.
The Construction Agency is a full design and construction team that specializes in major remodels for residential and commercial clients. The team is being led under the direction of Joey Dillon for the duration of the campaign.
“We need crowdfunding support to get the first few homes in our community built,” said Dillon. “Which is why we need your help. Consider donating to the crowdfunding campaign today, or sharing it to your social media. Every little bit of awareness helps.”
