According to the Point2 Homes Annual Housing Market Report, there were less people trying to sell their homes for the first time in Saskatoon in 2013. Although only 1,325 entered the market last year, there are still a good number of homes for sale in Saskatoon to choose from.
The 34% drop in listings over 2012 is very close to the figure for 2010. The upside is that the prices have continued to grow slowly but surely by 11% from one year to the next.
Point2 Homes created a top 10 of the most expensive Saskatoon neighborhoods and the surprise occurred at the 3rd place where Varsity View home buyers were greeted with a 45% increase in prices of homes for sale in 2013. The first and second most expensive neighborhoods in Saskatoon, the Willows and Grosvenor Park, experienced a significantly smaller increase in home prices in 2013.
The most expensive homes for sale in Saskatoon also fall right into place with the top of the priciest neighborhoods.

Grosvenor Park displays an even bigger home for sale for an asking price of $1,190,000. 505 Lake Crescent, Saskatoon, SK uses the 4,976 square feet for an indoor pool with a private bar, a 6 car heated garage, a large fully heated hardwood floor basement, just to mention a few.
The most expensive home for sale in Varsity View also passes the 1 million dollar threshold. 1112 Colony Street, Saskatoon, SK won the award for Best Home under 2000 square feet. Although on the small side, this pricey home has a spacious spa with claw foot tub elegantly attached to the master bedroom.
