MillionaireMatch surveyed it's users and found some surprising reasons about dating the rich.

The MillionaireMatch team recently surveyed 10K of its users who are looking for marriage or long-term relationships, and found that 38% of them wanted to date a millionaire because millionaires produce smarter offspring. Integrated within the same survey: free of debt (32%), more professional contacts (10%), more responsibility (8%) and more maturity (7%) were also chosen as top reasons to date a millionaire, behind producing smarter children.
Since MillionaireMatch members are looking for a long-term, serious relationship that might, one day, lead to having a family of their own, the cognitive productivity of their future children is of great importance. There are a few different theories explaining the likeliness for more intelligent offspring, when one or more of the parents exhibit great financial success. Naturally, genes play a strong role in the reasoning behind the production of smarter offspring. Most millionaires are extremely intelligent individuals, a trait largely linked to their professional success. If smart millionaires have kids, they are likely to pass on those genius genes to their biological children.
The lingering question remains, what if millionaires decide to adopt? Therefore, their children are not of biological dissent. Fortunately, another theory suggests that these children are also likely to be smarter than most because their parents have the financial means to provide for proper education in excess, allowing for more prep courses than the average student. The level of education successful parents can provide encompasses both Ivy League and private instruction. Thus, adopted children may not have the millionaire genes, but they are still likely to become a millionaire one day, even so.
Dating on MillionaireMatch is about finding a partner of equal or greater standing when it comes to success, so singles can match with like-minded attractive counterparts in which to share his or her life, which may include starting a family.
