The Metropolitan Masonic Concert Series (MMCS) is pleased to announce this year’s concert, to take place on 27th September 2016 in the iconic London’s at Freemason’s Hall – a great opportunity to visit such a splendid building. The concert is part of an annual concert series for Metropolitan Classical music lovers and their friends and families.

The series is designed to provide tuneful, approachable music and to highlight younger performers. This year’s artistes are The Behn Quartet who will play string quartets by Ravel, Mozart (No. 6 in Bb KV 159), Borodin (No.2 in D major) and perhaps rather surprisingly, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. It is also MMCS’ custom for senior Freemasons to read favourite poems in the breaks between pieces and those performing this year include: Sir David Wootton, the Assistant Grand Master; Russell Race, Second Grand Principal; Sir Michael Snyder, Metropolitan Grand Master; Simon Duckworth, Deputy Metropolitan Grand Master; Graham Redman, Deputy Grand Secretary; Captain David Swain, Metropolitan Grand Secretary and other distinguished Freemasons.

Tickets cost £25 and can be purchased here, or on the door at Freemasons’ Hall.

The concert will start at 19:00 and is expected to finish at around 21:00. It will include an interval during which wine, soft drinks and canapés will be served.
