Author M.A. Haley, PhD, has announced the release of the 2nd Edition of Postpartum Depression / Postnatal Depression: The Basic Guide to Treatment and Support. The book features resources for women located in both the United States and the UK, offering a blueprint for recognizing the symptoms of depression in women and how to get help.

Having a new baby is a milestone event that is accompanied by many emotions. For some new moms, depression can set in, and this can leave moms feeling confused, guilty, and sad. Recognizing postpartum depression symptoms in new moms is critical so that they can seek the help and support they deserve. Living with depression can be crippling, but the first step to getting life back on track is to acknowledge emotions and find answers.

Women who show signs of postnatal depression are struggling with Postpartum Mood Disorder (PPMD), a common condition that occurs in new moms. Postpartum depression symptoms range from a case of the “Baby Blues” to deeper feelings of depression. With treatment and support, these emotions are temporary.

Postpartum Depression / Postnatal Depression: The Basic Guide to Treatment and Support explains PPMD and teaches readers about treatment and support strategies from some of the most remarkable professionals in their fields.

Additionally, the book provides readers with a blueprint for speeding up their recoveries, enabling and empowering them to take control and enjoy being a new mom. Women who are living with depression can use the book to develop a tailor-fit strategy for overcoming their emotions. The book and the strategies recommended within can be used in tandem with the guidance of a healthcare professional.

Postpartum Depression / Postnatal Depression: The Basic Guide to Treatment and Support features contributions and advice from reputed professionals including Laura Clark, Vanessa Benson, Dr. Jo Black, Jutta Elisabeth Ellmer, and more. Dr. Andrew Mayers provided the foreword, and Alice Heiserman, President of WriteBooksRight.com, edited the new edition.
