Twenty-three Ukrainian universities joined the program StartUp Club to create entrepreneurial clubs for students. In particular, the clubs have already opened in higher educational institutions in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Uzhgorod, Poltava, Kherson, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, and Kharkiv.

The program started in autumn 2018 at the initiative of the network of academic business incubators YEP! and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the support of IT-company Lucky Labs.

The goal of the program is the development of students’ entrepreneurial culture and thinking and the stimulation of startup movements in universities.

Meetings with entrepreneurs, discussions of new ideas and projects, and video lectures will be held within startup clubs in universities.

“In their student years, young people are full of ideas and projects, but they often don’t know how to realize their initiatives. We are ready to help and we try to motivate young people to develop and fulfil their potential even while studying at the university. Therefore, the most important thing in the work of our clubs is to show students where to go and whom to ask for advice if they have an idea and a desire to develop it into a startup,” the press service of the IT company Lucky Labs says.

The company is confident that the IT industry today is a marker and engine of positive change in the corporate culture of Eastern Europe. “It is in this industry that young people come. Those who absorb European values and try to change the world for the better. The more companies help young people to develop in these areas and realize their creative ideas, the greater the likelihood that the changes will become a snowball and cover all areas of the economy and people’s lives in the country,” says Lucky Labs.
