Local Design And Marketing Firm Elements LLC Wins Awards

Elements graphic and web design firm wins a national American Graphic Design award, adds senior graphic designer Ben Jura to its staff and moves into the historic Willis Russell house in Branford, Connecticut.

Elements LLC, a Greater New Haven-based full service graphic design and marketing communication firm, continues to gain recognition from established design organizations and publications. Most recently, the firm won an American Graphic Design award for its “Stone for Every Season” direct mail postcard campaign for Connecticut Stone Supplies. Presented by Graphic Design USA, a leading industry publication, the awards recognize outstanding creativity and adherence to the best practices of the profession. The winning project was a direct mail six-piece postcard series, designed and written by Elements for Milford-based Connecticut Stone Supplies.
Recent works by Elements selected for publication include a logo design for Pet Elements, a line of environmentally friendly pet feeders featured in Logo Lounge 6. The Logo Lounge book series are the best-selling series of design books published by Rockport, and feature designs, elected for their quality, timeliness, and relevance, and inspirational nature. A self-promotional holiday piece was also selected for publication Design Matters: Portfolios 01 by Maura Keller, published by Quayside Publishing.
Elements also added a new senior designer to its creative leadership in Ben Jura of Bridgeport, Conn. Ben comes to Elements with a strong background in advertising, branding and design. After graduating from The School of Visual Arts with a BA in graphic design, Ben developed his diverse set of skills working in New York and Connecticut for clients such as Hinckley Yachts, Stanley Tools, PepsiCo and Bradley Airport. As a senior designer, Ben is tasked with leading creative projects through to completion with creativity, attention to detail and timeliness.
In August, Elements relocated to a newly renovated historic studio in Branford, Conn. The firm now operates out of the Willis Russell House at 162 Main Street. The structure, – originally built in 1820 for Willis Russell, son of Reverend Samuel Russell, founder of Yale University – was completely restored to its original and custom built to suit Elements’ needs. This move marks the second historic location for the design firm – Elements was formerly located at King’s Block, 20 Grand Avenue in New Haven.
