Hospitality industry heavyweights including Ministry of Tourism general manager Nada Sardouk and Souk el Tayeb owner Kamal Mouzawak were on hand to help BeirutRestaurants.com, Lebanon’s favorite online restaurant directory, celebrate their second anniversary in style at Tawlet restaurant in Mar Mikhael on July 22nd. This year’s anniversary theme, chosen to represent the best of Lebanon’s hospitality industry, was sponsored by Nayla Audi’s OSLO ice cream, Enologia, Moscato Rosé, and event design courtesy of Najla el Zein. It marks the first in a series of annual events aimed at raising the local and international profile of one of Lebanon’s greatest tourism draws.
BeirutRestaurants.com’s Badeeh Abla delighted guests with the playful design flair that has become parent company NOBRAND agency’s signature; lighting for the event was provided by customized cans of Lebanese food; over 500 industry business cards dangled tantalizingly overhead, and Lebanon’s biggest GPS map table cloth was unveiled. Featuring user comments on various restaurants taken from the Beirutrestaurant.com’s website, the map’s novelty and ingenuity garnered rave reviews from all in attendance as did the news Beirutrestaurants.com is set to receive the Restaurant Syndicate’s seal.
