Mole Valley Farmers have been operating as a cooperative that serves the whole of the rural community, and agriculture in particular, since 1960. Over the last fifty plus years, our dedicated Board of Directors – who still all earn the biggest portion of their income through their own farming operations – have worked hard to provide our customers with the best quality and value farming equipment possible, and this is still the case today.
In order to give you a better idea of the rich heritage that we are proud to have here at Mole Valley, we have created a section on our extensive website that includes details about things such as what projects we have invested in over the years and a comprehensive company timeline which lists every single store opening, acquisition, consolidation, and other major event that we have carried out over the last half century.
We believe that those who shop with us, whether it’s online or by visiting one of our retail outlets throughout the South West, should be able to have a clear picture of the journey we have been on since forming over fifty years ago, so that they can be confident they are purchasing their electric fencing, feed products, livestock medicine or any other product they choose from a company who truly do have their roots in the countryside and enjoy a proven track record of delivering value for money and customer satisfaction throughout their history.
About Mole Valley Farmers
Mole Valley Farmers was started in 1960 by a small group of farmers around South Molton who were concerned by the discriminatory practices and the large margins being taken by many of their input suppliers. From the outset it was decided to treat all members equally, subject only to quantity allowance and that the Company would operate on the minimum margin to allow continuity and growth. Today it remains one of a few true co-operatives in the supply industry.
