Layton Implants, the specialty clinic of Dr. Reve Chaston, offers dental implants and gingival cosmetics as well as care for gingival recession, bone loss, and periodontal disease. Dr. Chaston has offices in Layton and Bountiful, Utah. In addition to treating patients, he is active in providing continuing education opportunities for prosthodontists and other dental professionals in Utah. To promote better understanding of dental implants, Dr. Chaston recently spoke at a forum for Utah dentists.
Dr. Chaston graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2003. He has served as the president of the Francis Peak Dental Society, a component of the Utah Dental Association. He also served as a delegate to the Utah Dental Convention and as an advisor for the Davis Area Technical College dental assisting program.
Dr. Chaston’s September 8 presentation for practicing dentists focused on the All-on-4 dental implant protocol, emphasizing proper diagnosis, case selection, advantages and disadvantages, and techniques.
The All-on-4 protocol, also known as “same day dental implants” or “teeth in a day,” is a popular new treatment for patients who rely on dentures due to missing teeth. The procedure involves using four dental implants to support a special bridge that replaces the patient’s missing teeth, allowing them to leave behind the hassle and discomfort that are often associated with dentures. This procedure works well for patients who have lost a significant amount of bone due to periodontal disease or wear-and-tear from dentures. It allows patients to avoid bone grafting.
“Dental procedures continue to grow and improve through the years, and I feel it is very important to stay on the cutting edge,” said Dr. Chaston, founder of Layton Implants. “I feel passionate about dental implants and the way they restore quality of life to my patients. I am excited to be able to share my knowledge on the subject with other dentists whose patients may benefit from this technology.”
Dr. Reve Chaston started a Spear Study Club that focuses on improving patient care through dental implants. He also organized the Wasatch Dental Hygiene Forum, a study group for dental hygienists.
In its ninth year of operations, Layton Implants remains dedicated to providing customer service and incorporating new techniques to improve patient care. To learn more about Layton Implants, visit www.LaytonImplants.com.
