LaunchCorps, a new online personalized startup school for mid-career working professionals, has opened registration for its second quarter 2016 launch class.

Similar to other startup schools, LaunchCorps provides selected participants with information on how to start an online business, with the individual coaching and technical assistance necessary to launch an online startup. However, unlike more traditional startup schools, LaunchCorps is an online program that works around the busy schedules of working professionals and is open to anyone living and working in the United States.

“Mid-career professionals are in a great position to leverage their knowledge and skills to create, launch and scale a startup. However, most of these individuals are not able to take significant amounts of time away from their existing responsibilities, nor can they move across the country to pursue their goals of launching and successfully growing a startup,” said Bree McAfee, spokesperson for LaunchCorps. “Instead of ignoring this amazingly talented segment of entrepreneurs, LaunchCorps was developed to meet their unique needs.”

Participants selected for LaunchCorps learn all aspects of startup creation and launch by using tested methods to reduce both costs and risk. Subjects covered include developing startup ideas, idea validation, business model testing, legal aspects of business creation or business formation, website and web application development, marketing and scaling. Experienced entrepreneurs who have launched their own successful startups mid-career serve as teachers of the program.

“Individuals and business teams who are passionate about building a technology startup are encouraged to apply,” said McAfee. “LaunchCorps is tailored for experienced mid-career professionals who either have a pre-revenue startup or who simply have a great startup idea.”

For more information on LaunchCorps, visit https://www.LaunchCorps.org. The deadline for applications is February 5, 2016 at 6 p.m. EDT. The program will begin April 2.
