Kristin Anderson Cetone Releases Course Nuts About Reading for Parents who are Interested in a Child’s Reading Development

Award-winning author and Reading Specialist/tutor, Kristin Anderson Cetone, is on a mission to help young children improve their ability to read. Having retired from over 30 years of teaching, Mrs. Cetone founded her company KLAC Enterprises LLC with the creation of her children’s book character Buckaroo Buckeye and other literacy offerings. She recently announced the launch of her new online Course, Nuts About Reading, for parents and others who are interested in helping a child’s reading development. Her Course provides tools and tips picked up over her three decades as an educator.

“We are not born with a reading gene,” commented Cetone. “Early literacy begins at birth with parents reading aloud to their children with entertaining stories that showcase interesting characters, themes, and messages. A child’s actual ‘process’ of learning to read begins in kindergarten with the expectation of proficiency by the end of third grade when the focus transitions from ‘learning to read’ to ‘reading to learn.’ Throughout early schooling, reading ability success requires monitoring by parents and teachers. A child’s reading success is a team effort of parents, teachers, tutors, and other caregivers. My new course is aimed at helping parents and others interested in a child’s reading success be more effective.”

Nuts About Reading can be completed at any pace that is comfortable and in the privacy of home. It teaches the basics of the reading process which all readers have experienced, while also delivering tips that can be used to help a child achieve reading success.
