Kasia Inc. has reached their initial Kickstarter campaign goal, and are pushing for stretch goals. Kasia is designed to be the most secure and affordable smart home system that includes devices such as a wall switch, an outlet plug, a remote, sensors and more. All devices are paired with the free Kasia app which allows you to easily monitor, control, and automate all the Kasia devices of today and tomorrow.
Its a known fact that many new IoT devices are not secure and is prone to hacking. The Kasia system is secured with the use of AES256 w/ variable key + rolling codes and is able to detect wireless jamming. This assures Kasia owners that no one can take control or monitor their home without their permission.
Kasia was cofounded by brothers Eric and Mendel Lin to combat the problems created by existing insecure and expensive products in the smart home market.
“After looking at all the smart home products from existing companies and start-ups, there wasn’t anything with the feature set we wanted at a price we felt was affordable,” Eric said. “Kasia is made with security in mind removing the need to worry about who has access to your home and devices.”

The pre-order campaign for Kasia will run on Kickstarter through April 7, 2015. Kasia starter kits will sell for $99 MSRP, but early Kickstarter supporters can pre-order Kasia for as little as $49. Add-on devices starting as low as $30 will also be available later. Backers can expect to receive their Kasia systems by Fall 2016.
