The female voice in the chart single “Jingle Hell” – a metal take on “Jingle Bells” by legendary actor and metal singer Christopher Lee – is by the UK-based soprano Li Li.
The single is currently no.18 in the USA Billboard charts.
“I still cannot believe it”, says a pretty excited Li Li, “not only the honour of singing with such a legend, but even reaching the charts! I am as well a secret metal lover, so am most grateful for this wonderful headbanging opportunity: it’s so cool”.
The award-winning soprano Li Li is a most versatile international performer; her repertoire featuring opera arias, soundtracks, musical tunes, rock.
Li Li has performed at the televised opening ceremony of the World Unified Martial Arts Championship in November; and on the 21st December she has taken part to the Superkombat’s World Grand Prix Final, broadcast live (pay-per-view) worldwide by Eurosport TV. In a packed 6000 seater arena with a TV audience of over 15 million, Li Li has sung a piece from her own single “Nessun Dorma & Mulan”, available worldwide on all Amazon and iTunes shops (except USA, Canada, Mexico).
Among Li Li’s 2014 projects: a crossover solo album featuring rock ballads, more TV appearances – including RAI 1 Italy, 6th January in the popular Concerto Dell’Epifania – and a 27 dates UK/Irish tour with the new show “Magical Mozart”. And maybe some more metal? Never say never…
