Over the course of 2018, Jim Uren went from morbidly obese to slightly overweight, having now lost 150 pounds! (And he did it without exercising!)
Jim shares his story of beating these odds via a unique medium – an on-camera interview with himself! “Chunky Jim” and “Slim Jim” interact about what motivated him to make the lifestyle changes, how he implemented them, and how life has improved as a result. Oh, and how he did it with virtually no exercise or spending a dime on weight loss supplements or prepackaged food. https://youtu.be/-VDgYrk_Rec
Jim believes that the biggest obstacles to success can be:
Complexity: most people choose something that is difficult to introduce and maintain
Cost: oftentimes people rely on programs and meals that can be a shock to the budget
Continuity: relying on 3rd party products for success can be a roadblock to maintaining weight loss
As a food addict who needed to make a choice – live healthy or die – Jim knew he needed to address the psychological issues of food, and not just the physiological benefits of a healthy lifestyle. This approach has garnered amazing results.
Jim Uren blogs about his weight loss journey at https://nolongerchunky.com/ and hopes that by documenting his experience and success he can encourage other people to tackle their weight loss with a successful, sustainable approach.
