300Magazine is pleased to announce that “Anizotropia,” a new sculptural project by the prominent Russian artist Valentin Korzhov, is now on view at the online gallery Art Catch. The virtual 3D exhibition is organized in collaboration with the international art management and consulting company TAtchers’ Art Management and the interactive visualization company Cappasity. “Anizotropia” by Valentin Korzhov runs through October 18, 2020.
“Anizotropia” is a series of eight sculptures by Valentin Korzhov, a Russian contemporary sculptor who was included in InArt Top 100 Renowned Russian Artists in 2018. Korzhov’s art project, which is based on the idea about the invisible, unique, and unpredictable growth trajectory of various objects in nature, investigates the matter of space and shape in the context of nothingness as a legacy of metaphysics of form by the German philosopher Martin Heidegger. In addition to its philosophical base, “Anizotropia” follows the traditions of the Russian avant-garde, exploring the space as a multi-layer reality.
In his work, Valentin Korzhov uses every-day objects and metal pipes that often take an intrinsic unpredictable shape during the creative process. His art is a combination of artistic ideas, science, and philosophy, resulting in immersive multidisciplinary installations that capture the mind and soul of the audience. But what makes “Anizotropia” a truly unique experimental art project is its 3D presentation by the young Netherlands-based online gallery Art Catch.
“Anizotropia” by Valentin Korzhov is the first online 3D exhibition hosted by Art Catch. Thanks to the collaboration with the strong 3D visualization experts Cappasity, this innovative art project offers the viewers an immersive online art experience strengthened by a series of videos of the production process and a special public program. The latter includes the participation of reputable technical professionals, philosophers, international art experts, and journalists. Such an approach to presenting art – existing outside of the conventional art space, gallery, and museum format – is highly effective in the times of the coronavirus pandemic and travel restrictions, and it is sure to take a special place in the world of contemporary art. It is no wonder that Art Catch has announced that the gallery will continue the promotion of the prominent Eastern European and Russian artists abroad, using the latest solutions in digital technology.
“The world reveals itself, and the artist only catches the opportunity to fix it in the material. Reflection begins after the work has been created. Reflection on the work and the thought processes that commence around it, become my reality.” – Valentin Korzhov
You can also become part of this unique reality by visiting “Anizotropia” at Art Catch. The online exhibition by Valentin Korzhov is on view through October 18, 2020.
