Interview of Dr. Richard Anderson of The Doctors Company: The State of Defensive Medicine

Healthcare Matters today announced that its video interview series featuring Richard E. Anderson MD, FACP, chairman and chief executive officer of the nation’s largest physician-owned medical liability insurer The Doctors Company, will be published on Healthcare Matters on Thursday, March 17, in commemoration of Patient Safety Awareness Week. The series is titled “The State of Defensive Medicine”.

Primarily focused on Dr. Anderson’s views on the practice of defensive medicine, host Michael Matray – editor of Medical Liability Monitor, the medical professional liability industry’s publication of record – asks questions that touch on a recently-published BMJ study that indicates a greater use of resources reduces the risk of a malpractice claim.
