Intermountain Park City and Heber Valley Hospitals have each been named to Top 100 lists for quality of care and the critical role they play in serving the community.

The Chartis Center for Rural Health named Park City Hospital one of America’s Top 100 Best Rural and Community Hospitals, while Heber Valley Hospital was named to Chartis’ Top 100 list for Critical Access Hospitals.

The Chartis Top 100 lists uses a proprietary index to evaluate and measure hospitals based on key performance areas.

“We have the advantage of being part of a strong healthcare system while still being focused on our local community members to provide personalized care to the patients we care for,” said Si Hutt, administrator of Heber Valley Hospital. “Because of the individualized care and attention to quality that our caregivers and physicians give, I’m not surprised at all that our hospital is one of the best in the country based on objective data.”

Park City Hospital also serves an important need in the community with a wide range of specialized care and services to meet the needs of a growing community. Many of the programs it offers aren’t often found in rural facilities.

“A recognition like this demonstrates to our community they can count on our hospital and caregivers and know when they walk in our doors, they’ll receive exceptional care without having to drive elsewhere,” said Wing Province, MD, medical director for Park City Hospital.

Another unique offering setting the hospitals apart from others in the nation, is its access to a wide variety of telehealth programs for adults and children. The Intermountain telehealth services give doctors and their patients access to top specialists when they need it, without having to travel long distances to where those doctors are located.
