Master Laboratories, a manufacturing company based in Sacramento, uses 3D printing technology to create FDA-registered nasal swabs for COVID-19 testing by hospitals, clinics, government agencies and armed forces. In joint partnership with EnvisionTEC in Dearbon, Michigan, Master Laboratories has a network capacity currently in place to produce up to one million swabs per day. The business was created by the owner of Dental Master Laboratories, Michael Kulwiec, who pivoted quickly after the shelter-in-place order went into effect in mid-March.
