The Inclusive Alliance, an Independent Practice Association of health and social service nonprofit agencies primarily serving Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego counties, announced today the appointment of Lauren Wetterhahn as its new Executive Director.

Prior to joining Inclusive Alliance, Wetterhahn served as the Director of Program Operations at the former Central New York Care Collaborative, the Performing Provider System that implemented the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment program in Central New York. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, a Master of Public Health from SUNY Upstate Medical University,  a certificate of advanced study in health services management and policy from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and is pursuing a Doctorate of Public Health through the University at Albany.

Under Wetterhahn’s leadership, the Inclusive Alliance will continue to recruit new members and to prepare its growing provider network for potential changes in Medicaid contracting for I/DD services and the creation of Social Determinants of Health Networks as part of New York State Medicaid reform. The Inclusive Alliance will also continue working with the Alliance for Better Health to support and expand the Central New York Referral Network, health and social service agencies using the Unite Us platform to coordinate services referrals more efficiently and with better outcomes for agencies and clients.

“The entire Inclusive Alliance Board of Directors are thrilled to have Lauren as our new Executive Director,” said Tania Anderson, Inclusive Alliance Board President and Chief Executive Officer of ARISE. “Lauren is an industry-fluent professional with extensive experience with relationship-building, organizational management, and the local provider community. She has a proven track record of strategically connecting healthcare and community-based organizations to achieve goals and develop programs that improve health outcomes for the community.”

“I am honored to have been chosen for this role as the Inclusive Alliance continues to expand its provider network and program offerings,” Wetterhahn said. “It is a privilege to be able to support our member agencies in their missions to serve the community, especially children and adults with the greatest needs who have been at the core of our mission, while also expanding our network to address social determinants of health and extending our geography through our group purchasing program. I thank the Board of Directors for giving me the opportunity to lead the Inclusive Alliance into new and exciting areas of growth and change.”

Wetterhahn succeeds previous Executive Director Patricia McMahon, who will continue to support the mission of the Inclusive Alliance in the role of Strategic Advisor.
