Inaugural 2015 Globe Bowl & 5th National Pro Day Set for Allentown with Scouts from the USA & Abroad

The Inaugural 2015 Globe Bowl presented by the National Bowl event company is officially set to be played at Salisbury High School Football Stadium in Allentown, PA on Sunday April 12, 2015 at 10:30am with practices at Hokee AA’s Bob Warke Field in Whitehall, PA starting April 10th. The Globe Bowl is the only post-season Spring College Football all-star game consisting of top All-American and All-Conference seniors from FCS, D2, D3, and NAIA schools. The Globe Bowl organizers are responsible for the elite NFL scouted National Bowl and FCS Bowl in Miami at FIU attended by over 10 NFL teams and 40 total scouts. The Globe Bowls focus is a global game focused on other leagues besides the NFL in the USA and abroad. The Globe Bowl will be attended by the Canadian Football League’s (CFL) Montreal Alouettes and 5 pro arena teams including the Lehigh Valley’s own Lehigh Valley Steelhawks Head Coach Chris Thompson and Executive Vice President/ GM Mike Clark. The Globe Bowl’s founder Michael Quartey Esq. explains, “The Lehigh Valley gave us our first start with the first ever National Bowl in 2010 at J. Birney Crum and we are excited to bring an elite event back to the area and have so much support from the local pro teams and local colleges.”

The Globe Bowl showcases only the most elite All-American and All-Conference seniors from around the world that travel to the game from as far as Mexico, Canada, and California representing over 400 Division 2,3, and FCS schools. The Globe Bowl is presented by East Preps LLC and founded by its owner Michael Quartey Esq., who also is a Professor of Sports Law at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA. The bowl rosters are unique in that it gives the CFL & Arena scouts a chance to view and get to know some of the best players from smaller schools who may be eyeing alternative leagues following the NFL Draft in April. The Inaugural 2015 Globe Bowl will be head coached by long time National Bowl Coaches James Parham who is the former Offensive Line/ Defensive Line Coach of the Trenton Freedom and Lehigh Valley Steelhawks who will head coach the “Red Team” while National Bowl Defensive Coordinator and New York Giants Coach of the Week Jim Collins will head coach the “White Team.” Additional Assistant Coaches include local coaches Bob Kohler of Muhlenberg College, Chad Clark, Mike Brusko, Joe Wooten, Mike Kane, and Eric Landis. NFL Draft Blitz will be in attendance as the official scouting and media partner of the Globe Bowl. AFL & LV Steelhawk’s Coach Preston McKnight & Steelhawk and soon to be Pittsburgh Steeler’s OTA Coach Bill Sellars will also be on hand as official game scouts who will also speak to the players regarding what is expected at the professional level.

Players are flying into the area from powerhouse schools like Mount Union’s All-American DB Josh Scott, University of La Verne QB Justin Gomez will attend from California, ALL-PSAC DL from Clarion University Matt Shuey, and Millersville University’s DB TJ Richardson will all be showing their skills in Allentown. Local standouts like Moravian’s All-Conference LB Kevin Bracken & Academic All-American Ricky Sinnig are set to attend along with Lehigh University’s own DB/WR Jamil Robinson who is set to gain more exposure as the rosters will be released April 1, 2015.

The Globe Bowl weekend will start on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Game Time FieldHouse-Velocity in Breinigsville, PA at 10:00am with the 5th annual National Pro Day Scouting Combine with confirmed teams from the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes, and Arena’s Lehigh Valley Steelhawks, Trenton Freedom, York Capitals, ASI Panthers and AFL’s Tampa Bay Storm. All 32 NFL & CFL teams review the game film online and with over 110 players from East Preps organized events going pro since 2009. The new 2015 F-League (FL) Developmental Football League is set to exclusively scout and invite all Globe Bowl players for their upcoming F-League (FL) Draft in May 2015 with a League June 2015 launch date.
