Why this concert is so special is that band’s album 1984 “Ocean Rain” is to be played, in its entirety accompanied by orchestral strings. Rolling Stone magazine described Echo and the Bunnymen’s ‘Ocean Rain’ album “as a bold, ambitious record that marked the pinnacle in the moody Liverpudlians’ career, and still stands up as one of the finer moments of the post-punk/new wave era.”
The Ocean Rain album is widely considered to be the bands masterpiece. It has captivated Bunnymen fans and pushed the band to a far wider audience because of such classic songs such as “Silver”, “Seven Seas” and “The Killing Moon”.
