Respected health information portal to participate in leading medical summit for African American healthcare professionals.
Salt Lake City, UT (PRUnderground) July 3rd, 2019
The Healthy Lifestyle website is dedicated to sharing reliable and engaging articles to help people make the best decisions about their health care. To stay up-to-date on trending medical issues, the site’s owners participate in influential conferences around the country — including the National Medical Association (NMA) Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly which they are slated to attend later this month.
Unlike other popular health information websites, HealthyLifestyle.org does not shy away from controversial issues. They tackle topics ranging from the efficacy of essential oils to both sides of the vaccine discussion, as well as legalizations of plants for medical purposes, providing a balanced approach to these polarizing topics.
The site’s articles equip readers to make critical decisions about their own healthcare, even when it comes to issues that may be considered taboo. Whether people are researching their symptoms, studying a drug that has been recommended to them, deciding on the best health insurance, or considering alternative medical treatments, they can find answers here.
At the NMA conference, the Healthy Lifestyle team will join over 2,500 physicians and other healthcare professionals for discussions on preventing diseases, disabilities, and adverse health conditions that disproportionately impact persons of African descent and underserved populations.
With a 120-year track record, the NMA is the oldest and largest nonprofit professional, educational, national, and scientific organization representing the interests of African American physicians and the millions of multi-ethnic patients they serve.
Dave Cutter, co-founder of Healthy Lifestyle, said that this summit allows his team to stay current on key healthcare issues facing African Americans.
“There is an ongoing challenge with getting quality healthcare to underserved populations and also to increasing representation of people of African descent in medicine,” said Cutter. “This conference helps us deliver an insider view of these issues to the public through our website.”
The conference will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu from July 27-31. Physicians and other healthcare professionals, scientists, and academicians come to the event to attend discussions and workshops and network with leading solution providers in the healthcare industry.
