Healthy Grove Listed by Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate Sells for $7.9 Million

Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate (CBCSRE) reported the recent sale of Alico Island Pond Grove, a 1,364-acre property in Osceola County, for $7.9 million. Dean Saunders, ALC, CCIM, broker and owner of CBCSRE represented both the buyer and seller of the citrus grove located on State Road 60 near Yeehaw Junction.

Originally developed over thirty years ago, the healthy grove includes a variety of citrus. Optimum ICD Holdings (Optimum) purchased the property from Alico, Inc. a company with significant land holdings and a rich history in Florida agriculture. Alico East Ranch, a 25,698-acre ranch in Hendry County, is also currently listed for sale by Saunders.

The Alico Island Pond Grove property is adjacent to other significant land purchased by Optimum in May of this year. Saunders represented Optimum in the acquistion of the 38,453-acre El Maximo Ranch from the Latt Maxcy corporation, another iconic Florida agriculture firm with deep roots in state history.
